Post Show Report – 2025 Highlights
In June 2025, the flagship Energy Storage Summit travelled to Stuttgart, joining The Battery Show Europe to deliver dedicated insight into Germany’s utility-scale energy storage market.
Across three days, the Summit brought together developers, investors, utilities, TSOs, OEMs and service providers to explore the commercial, regulatory and operational realities of energy storage in Germany, with a strong focus on asset performance, revenue models and deployment challenges.
With more than 60% of attendees based in Germany, the Summit demonstrated the value of pairing deep market-specific discussion with access to Europe’s largest battery and manufacturing ecosystem.
Exploring Germany’s Potential as a Frontrunner in European Energy Storage
Why Energy Storage Summit Germany?
Germany is entering a decisive phase for utility-scale energy storage. As deployment accelerates and competition increases, the focus is shifting from why storage to how assets perform once connected to the grid.
Energy Storage Summit is designed specifically for this next stage of the market. It brings together the developers, investors, utilities, TSOs, OEMs and service providers who are actively building, financing and operating storage projects in Germany.
The Summit focuses on real-world commercial and operational challenges, including revenue optimisation, performance management, safety standards and evolving market mechanisms such as capacity and inertia services.
With a predominantly German audience and content shaped around domestic regulation, grid conditions and trading structures, the Summit provides a practical, market-led forum for informed discussion and decision-making.
Co-located with The Battery Show Europe, the Summit also benefits from access to the wider battery manufacturing and engineering ecosystem, while remaining firmly focused on energy storage deployment and operations in Germany.
Energy Storage Summit Germany will explore the current regulatory landscape in Germany, incentives from the proposed 2028 capacity market, trading best practice, understanding merchant revenue opportunities, project development challenges and will even explore Germany’s unique opportunities in decentralized flexible assets.
Meet Germany’s leading developers and IPPs, investors, policymakers, TSOs, manufacturers, optimisers, traders and consultants, who are all paving the way for energy storage deployment in the country.
There are clear market signals that the industry is on the brink of huge growth, which is where Energy Storage Summit Germany comes in.
